Back on board for June
You may have been wondering what happened to May's blog - well, yes I had a lovely relaxing holiday in Crete in April but most of May was spent in hospital following an emergency operation and then rest and recuperation at home. But all fine now, and I was able to be at our fabulous family Wedding held in Salisbury Cathedral and also have a long weekend away in St Malo.
And so, I am now back on board with work and in time to do June's blog. Here on the Isle of Wight, June is when the Isle of Wight Festival is held. Of course, this is now a huge Festival but it's been around for many years, first starting in a small field near Ford Farm in August 1968 - I can see the field it was held in from where I live!
June is also the time of year when the Round The Island Race takes place, usually with nearly a 1,000 yachts taking part. This year the weather was brutal - but congratulations to all those who made it around!
For me, June will be a time of catching up with people, ensuring my work with clients is fully back up to speed, and hopefully also finding time to enjoy some sunshine days on this beautiful Isle.
